London South Bank University:
Starting life as the Borough Polytechnic Institute, London South Bank University has been part of the local landscape for over a century and is today one of the capital's oldest universities. Since 1892, we've been priding ourselves on providing students with relevant and practical employment skills and supplying employers with a skilled workforce. Vocational courses featured here even before the term was thought of and today we offer one of the most vocationally-orientated course portfolios available.
We provide courses which equip students for their future employment. We're committed to maintaining close links with industry and the local community. With over 23,500 students, LSBU is one of the largest universities in London. Our students are drawn here from across the globe, throughout the UK and from just around the corner.
The institution has a vision of being a leading UK University for professional education, giving our students the chance to 'become what you want to be'. Our main campus is situated a short walk from many of London's major landmarks and we're at the hub of local transport. Waterloo and London Bridge are some of our nearest stations and the London Underground is on our doorstep.
At LSBU we are committed to promoting equality, diversity and a supportive environment for everyone in our community. We are proud of our historic and continuing commitment to widening participation in the local community.
